AARO held it’s 77th Annual General Meeting in Oakville, ON on October 21, 2016. The activities and accomplishments of the association for the past year were many, from developing and implementing new programs to working with the Ministry of Transportation to hold MVIS Inspection information sessions across the Province. AARO registered more than 30,000 people and held more than 104 sessions across Ontario. With more than 13,000 MVIS stations being advised on the regulation changes that were long overdue, it has been more than 40 years since the Safety Inspection Guidelines have been updated. This was a Major success for AARO and it’s membership. AARO members also learned that the MVIS Inspection books now required effective July 1st, 2016 are included at NO COST with their annual membership with AARO. One more reason for belonging to their association.
AARO has also been very actively lobby government for Bi-ennial safeties for the Province of Ontario and we currently have the petition that will be presented in the legistature in Queen’s Park this year.
